New Partnership: We Are HOME INC
A big thanks to Melissa Garrity-Kennedy, founder of We Are HOME
INC, a nonprofit that believes “helping others means everything.” Melissa
contacted us to partner on a gift-giving program for our families who may
be in need. We were excited to offer our members an opportunity to ask for
what their child/adult wanted for the holiday, as many are struggling this year.
A total of 45 Bay Area families received gifts for their child/adult with Down
syndrome, goodies for their siblings, and a food basket. We are grateful for
the kindness of everyone at We Are HOME INC for giving us this opportunity
to spread joy during a very stressful year. And thank you to the National
Charity League for delivering to those families unable to pick up.
