Having a family member with Down Syndrome is unique in and of itself; add
to that the unique way Alzheimer’s presents in this group and how to address
those needs is a very sensitive circumstance that the average person cannot
appreciate. The comfort and support I find with our DSCBA group is priceless.
Everyone in the group can relate to the loss and frustrations that come up. Often
there are ideas based on successful experiences on how to address or overcome
obstacles. This group is extremely important to me. Until I joined I felt so alone.
